Can I change my account name?

  Unfortunately, I idiotically created an account and made an error in my username. Is there any way to change it or can I delete my account before I do any work and create a new account? Thanks for your help!

  Hi there,

  If you go to your Account Settings:
  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  You should be able to edit your username there. Assuming that the username you want isn’t already taken, you can save those settings.

  And please note, WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted and only one email address at a time can be associated with an account. So be careful when creating new accounts. Learn more about that here:

  Thank you so much! I’ve changed my username but will just have to live with the error in my account name. I appreciate your response though!
