Can I change my domain name?

  I would like to change my domain names because I am changing my business name. How do I do that? Thanks.

  To add a domain, simply head to https://wordpress.com/domains/ , click “register a new domain name”, and enter the domain you wish to use in the box.Then just follow the instructions that appear to register your domain.

  I would like to change my “cgartjournal” domain name. I am changing my business name but I want to keep the “cgartjournal” blog content. How can I do that? Thanks.

  Once you add a new custom domain (johnsmith.com) you can cancel the old cgartjournal.com domain if you wish.

  And if you want to change the cgartjournal.wordpress.com domain, there are options and instructions for doing so here:

  Please bear in mind that once changed, that site’s original WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use by you or any other user. If you feel that you might need that URL again in the future, you might consider starting a new site with your preferred name rather than changing the name of your existing site.
