Can I change my wordpress domain?

Want to change http://www.gigisanchez.wordpress.com to http://www.exampleorsomething else.wordpress.com. Went to Domains on my dashboard but if I just add another wordpress domain, I don’t want to delete my present blog and have to create a whole new one. All I want to do is switch the wordpress name. THANKS.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot change wordpress url, unless you purchase a domain.
You could create a new blog, and then transfer all your existing content to your new blog.

Am following directions in that link and it says to click on my blog’s name in “Domain” but the name of my blog is absent from that page. It’s a blank page that says “1 visible” and “1 total” and it has “bulk actions” -that’s all. Thanks-

Thanks, I’m clear but it’s not working. Link above says:
1. Go to My Blogs –did that
2. Click the Change Blog Address option for the blog you wish to rename –not workingStuck on Step 2 b/c there is no blog being named. The page is empty. There is nothing to click on to change. :-(

Then you will have to contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

Am I being redirected to Staff b/c I’m doing what it says to do and it doesn’t work? Curious b/c this happens all the time. I don’t think I’ve ever had more than 1 or 2 questions answered at this forum. Thanks, anyway.

Short and to the point. When Volunteers cannot help and the support link does not work then we provide the email address and move along to answer the other outstanding questions. Got to go :)

You’re welcome. :) As we know each other I did not spend the time required to type out a formal answer. I assumed the email link would do the job. Best wishes with this issue.
