Can I change the appearance of widgets to be different on each page?

  I would like to have different page widget selections on each page of my blog.. is this possible?

  If not perhaps someone has a suggestion for how to do this. I have a page called “articles”.. where I like to add links to web based articles. I want users to be able to easy search & select certain articles so instead of just listing them on the main page, I’ve been adding each one as a new “sub” page… but I don’t want them to continue to all be listed on my home page? Is there a better way to do this?

  You can exclude pages from the pages widget: http://support.wordpress.com/widgets/pages-widget/
