Can I change the author after a post is published?
-
My site has multiple authors. Last year, the authors sent their posts to me and I published them with my username and their byline in the post.
This year, we’re changing the site so the authors will post everything under their own username.
Is there a way to edit their previous posts and change the posted author from my name to their name?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Yes, you can change the author of a post. When you edit a post, there is an Author module on the post editor screen, as described here: Post Author
If you don’t see that Author module, you may need to add it from the screen options: Screen Options
Once you find that Author module, you can select the author’s name from the drop down menu there. When you’re done, click the Update button to save your changes.
If you’d like to change a bunch of posts at the same time, you can also use bulk edit to change the author on all of them at once.
Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this. :)

Thank you! Exactly what I needed. I didn’t have the “author” module and now I do.
Thanks!
