Can I change the border color on an avatar?
-
My picture/avatar shows up across wordpress, on comments etc. with a black border around it. I would like that to be white if it has a border at all. How do I change the border? My primary blog is elspethc.wordpress.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m trying to track down an example of the black border you’re referring to. Could you let me know where you’re seeing this? When I hover over your Gravatar on comments for example, it has a white border as shown here:
Thanks for clarifying!

One place it is black is in reply to comments as here https://triformy.wordpress.com/2015/03/05/age-is-glorious/#comment-184
Thanks for searching – it is white as I would like in other places -
Thanks for pointing that out! There’s a special styling applied to the post author’s comments in the theme on triformy.wordpress.com. We could change it with custom CSS, but that would require the Custom Design upgrade shown here:
https://triformy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
If you would like to try or purchase that upgrade, you can change the background color using the following CSS under Appearance -> Customize -> CSS:
.bypostauthor .avatar { background-color: #fff; }Alternatively, we could look at switching to another theme that doesn’t apply this styling. Can you let me know which option you would like to use going forward?
