Can I change the HOME page to say something other than HOME?

  Because HOME is actually part of my blog name, I don’t want the static ‘home page’ to be called HOME. Is there any way to change that to say something else, like ‘For Starters’ or ABOUT or “Intro” or something. I know I can create another static page called ABOUT and make it my ‘homepage’ but it still shows HOME at the top whether I want to use it or not. Can someone help? I’m referring to http://homelifebydesign.wordpress.com Thanks.

  No there is not. That is defined in the underlying theme files, and we do not have access to those.

  There are some themes that do not have “home” tabs. See this blog post for information on which do and do not: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/homefrontblog-tab/ .

  thesacredpath…If I do change to another theme, will I lose everything I’ve done up to now on my added pages???

  No, everything you have done will still be there.
