Can I change the order of posts in a category from oldest to newest?
-
I have set up a new category on my menu but wish to show posts in reverse order. I read in wordpress support the following
Show your Posts in Chronological Order
You also have the ability to order your posts chronologically. To do this, you will need to add a string to your URLs that will arrange your posts from Oldest to Newest. Follow these steps to change your blog page to show in chronological order:
you can show your posts for a specific Category like this:

Thanks so much. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That article isn’t super clear on that point, but the key is you need to create the custom menu item for the category page using the links option instead of the category option.
The point is made at the bottom of this support article, but it’s easy to miss: http://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/#other-options-with-category-pages

I actually read that same article several times without really understanding how to use that code for anything other than switching the order of posts for my individual reading, so thanks for providing me the motivation to actually dig into the problem :)
