Can I change the theme's background colour?

  Is it possible to change my background colour in order to make it in line with the header?

  With most themes, you can easily change the background, but that is not an option with the theme you have selected.

  You can, however, override the background color with a Custom CSS upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css
