Can I code widgets directly into a page or post?

Because I’ve customized the site so much, the widgets on the side doesn’t really work any more. I’d like to code in widgets like the search, recent posts, tags, etc.

Is there a way to do that? This is the page I’m trying to post it on

    Hey there.

You can’t make widgets appear in specific Pages but you can change the Template of each page and have some control that way.

Your “Posts page” (recipe-blog) always uses a 2 column template with the Profile theme, the sidebar shown is the “Right sidebar” which currently has no widgets:

You could make all your other pages use the “Full Width Template“, that template hides the Sidebars, so those other pages would keep their current style of having no sidebar.

Then, you could add some widgets to the Right Sidebar, and they will appear in your Recipe Blog page, since it always uses a Blog–like template that shows the Right Sidebar.

    Does that make sense?
