Can I convert an old paid website to a free blog?

A number of years ago I paid for hosting for a website, beeasilyundertstood.wordpress.com. At that time I was an LLC, but when I closed that business I closed that acct. I’d like to be able to have a free blog (not a website) that used the beeasilyunderstood name. I have posts at the previous site I’d like to use. So can I convert to just a blog, getting read of the old pages/information? Thanks for any help.

https://beeasilyunderstood.wordpress.com/ is still online and you are still the owner and administrator on it. :)
You can delete any unwanted posts or pages by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/posts/#delete-a-post and https://wordpress.com/support/pages/#deleting-and-restoring-pages
We can also empty the site for you, but it will be completely empty if we do that.

Thanks for the information. I was able to make a switch, however, following the instructions that would restore the old theme did not work because when I looked at the activity on jetpack and found the theme I’d switched from it was Motif and apparently that is no longer a choice as it did not come up. I was attempting to go back because I didn’t like the new theme, but I was able to switch to another new theme that works for me.
