It’s possible, but there are many ways to use WordPress, and how you use it depends on the things you want to do with your small business website.
One thing to consider is to upgrade your plan. You get more features, and better support with an upgraded plan. Check them out here:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/Also note, that if you intend to sell products/services, you can only sell your own products/services, not for anybody else. For example, you can put in a Paypal “pay now” button. To check out how this is done, click here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
If you intend to sell other people’s products, I would consider making a self hosted WordPress.org site, where this is allowed and you can also add your own plug-ins.
So it all depends on what you want to do with your business website and what features you want to be included?

Thanks so much jjberg 83…your response was very helpful. Another quick question: Under Billing history it says ‘no receipts found’…how do I go about finding the date and how much I paid for this blog? I’m having a ‘senior moment’ and can’t remember. Much appreciated.

Are you sure you have paid for the site masterwoodcarverraysinclairdotorg.wordpress.com? It seems a bit odd, since the even the cheapest of the plans valued at 2.99 USD gives you the option of removing the “.wordpress” part of your domain, which is currently in your domain name.
But if you have paid, please try this. When you’re at the following address…:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing
…there’s a link with a drop down menu over the word “No receipts found”, titled “Date”. If you click this, can you see any payment history for any of the last months?
