Can I create a chat room to attach to my blog page?

    I have a wordpress blog (everybodyisaok.com) and I would like to be able to have a chat room as part of the blog, so I can hold monthly support group meetings. I know that wordpress.com sites don`t allow plugins, but it appears that wordpress.org sites do. If I migrate my blog to wordpress.org, will i be able to do this?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Howdy,

    I’m not personally familiar with any chat plugins for WordPress.org (not to say they aren’t there, I just haven’t used them). If there is a plugin that fits your needs, then yes, using WordPress.org may work for you.

    Before taking any steps, check out WordPress.com and WordPress.org to see more of the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Additionally, may be a good idea to check out the support forums at http://wordpress.org/support to hear the community’s suggestion regarding chat plugins.

    Another option is if you find a chat room provider you like, would having a link from your blog to the chat room provider work for you?
