Can I create a coming soon page

  Hi there

  My site is currently in a state of disrepair, and I don’t want visitors to see it like this. However my business card has the site on it as well as my other information. So I want to make a “coming soon” page so that visitors won’t see the chaos.

  How would I do this on my wordpress.com site.

  I see you have already made your site private–that is one option.

  A better option is to create a “Coming Soon” page the same way you would create any other page and then set it as your front page. It looks like you’ve done that before, but if you need a refresher, here’s how that works.

  Set the Homepage

  Next, you’ll want to create an empty menu so your visitors won’t wander onto other pages. Here’s how you create a custom menu:

  I recommend you create one with just your “coming soon” page on it.

  Finally, you’ll want to block your site from search engines so visitors don’t end up on your sites from places other than your front page. Here are the instructions for that:
