Can I create a post without it being sent to my followers other than making it private?

  I’d like to just post something to my main page (blog roll), without it going out to all my followers/subscribers. So I want to make a public post, without it being sent out. Is that possible and how could I go about doing it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Andrew,

  I’m sorry, but that would not be possible. As a follower, they would receive any posts that are published. The only possibility for the email notifications to not go out would be to set it to private.
