Can I create a static home page after I've establish a blog with nested pages?

  I have a blog on WordPress.com, and I’d like to set up a static home page that displays my blog posts. But I’m not sure how. I also have pages with nested pages in them, and I don’t want to have to redo them. Can that be done?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In regard to your second question, a custom menu with sub-pages seems like it fits your criterion:
