Can I create a subdomain and direct elsewhere?

    I have my own domain for my blog. It was registered with WordPress. I want to leave my blog alone and add a menu item for a store that is hosted elsewhere. I could just register a different domain for it and have a menu item that links to it.
    But I think a sub domain would be better.
    How can I create a subdomain for this (i.e. store.rocketroseart.com) and redirect that to the store hosted elsewhere?
