Can I create my own theme in wordpress.org?

  Can I customize my wordpress.org theme to match my website or do I have to use one of the themes provided by wordpress?

  I am creating a blog for my site and I pretty much want to keep the header I currently have on my site and have the blog fit in with the rest of the site. I want the home button on the blog to lead to my site’s home page not the blog’s home page like in wordpress.com.

  If you’re working with a wordpress.org theme, than you need to be over there I’m afraid. Those questions are outside of the scope of these forums here at wp.com.
