Can I create YouTube type comments for my site?

  What I’m trying to achieve is something where visitors can leave comments on my site without having to create a wordpress account. The ideal would be to just have a simple box that people can fill out on my site without a bunch of cutter (if at all possible). Can something like this be done with WordPress?

  Sure: just forget how to spell, call everyone a nazi, make offensive statements, spam..

  Oh, I see what you mean :) yes.. in fact that’s the default. Users don’t need an account to comment unless you check the “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” box on the Settings / Discussion tab of your wp-admin dashboard.

  There are a bunch of other options on that same tab that will let you control the way comments work.

  LOL! Basically yeah. Forgive me, I didn’t clarify :P

  I’m looking for a way to have comments that can be viewed or embedded into my website. The ideal would be that users can view and add comments on the page without leaving my site. I dabbled with using iframe HTML to view comments hosted on WordPress on my webpage, but it displayed the entire webpage, so it wasn’t of much practical use.

  What I have are free downloadable games, the goal is to find a way for players to comment on them as they would a YouTube video. Anyway, that’s what I’m trying to achieve, although I don’t know if that’s a feature that WordPress actually offers :P Thanks for the responding all! :)

  Just to be sure I’m making sense, here’s a link to a A.V. club movie review that has a comments section. I hardly expect it to be as nice as what they have, but anything close to it is what I’m looking for :P
