Can I customize a Sela template?
-
I am looking to remove the box in the feature picture on the Home Page Template. I love the Sela theme and want what it offers, such as widgets and testimonials, however, I created my own featured image, and I don’t want additional content on the image.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Kassi,
I think I know what you’re talking about. That Home page semi-opaque box on your home page?
If so, then I think the CSS that you’re looking for would be something like this:
.hero-container-inner { display: none; }Let me know if it gives you any trouble!

Hi amightwp!
I have another question I’m hoping you can help me with. I’ve recently switched my wordpress site from a .com to a .org, and I have the Sela theme. However, in the ‘testimonial’ widgets on the front page it says Like this: and loading below that.
Is there a CSS code I can input to get rid of that? My site is kcwcopywrite.com.
Thanks!

Hey Kassi!
Because kcwcopywrite.com is a self-hosted .org site, we don’t have access to your files. We cannot be incredibly helpful with issues on self-hosted sites because of this.
In Sela’s help page on WordPress.com, it does say:
The Testimonial area displays two testimonials. To add a testimonial, go to Testimonials → Add New in your dashboard. You can change the order in which your testimonials are displayed by using the Order field of the Page Attributes module on the testimonial edit screen. If no testimonials are added, this section will not be displayed.
I hope this helps.
You can also address your .org theme questions here:
