Can I delete my account & open a new one with same user name?

  Years ago I created a Word Press blog and mistakenly had my username associated with a title I did not want. I found out later I could not change the title of my blog to reflect what I really wanted. How do I fix this? Do I delete my existing blog then immediately create a new one with the same user name so I can change the title? If I do this, will it tell me that that “user name is already taken” ?

  Please help!

  Username accounts cannot be deleted.

  All blog Titles and Taglines can be changed here at any time . Settings > General
  Blog URLs cannot be changed. We recommend that you make a blog “private” and use it for testing and back-up purposes wherever possible. This is because once a blog is deleted that URL cannot be recycled.
