Can I delete my wordpress.com?

  If I transfer my subscribers through the power of words, can I then delete my wordpress.com website now that I have a wordpress.org?

  I was just wondering if I am able to move my subscribers to my other website if I then can delete my wordpress.com blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thanks. Yes, I have known how to physically delete the site but I was wondering if I happened to delete my wordpress site if it would affect my self-hosted wordpress.org site?

  I prefer not to pay much money to transfer my subscribers.

  They are completely separate. You don’t have to pay anything to transfer subscribers. You just need to tell us which site you want them moved from and which blog you want them moved to.

  To transfer subscribers you just need to have Jetpack set up on your self-hosted WordPress site:

  http://jetpack.me

  Please do not delete your WordPress.com site before you get your subscribers transferred. It is a lot easier for me if we do the transfer first. Thanks.

  Would it be better if I purchase a domain first or do you think future readers are able to find my wordpress.org site without an ‘official domain?’

  NEVER GoDaddy. I buy my domains from WP.com actually, even for external sites.

  Meaning I DO NOT want to buy a domain for my wordpress.com site since I transferred all the information I need to a temporary localhost site on wordpress.org.
