Can I delete the small photo in the "Adventure" header theme?
-
I use the “Adventure” theme. I have a photo with written information as my header. The little photo in the upper middle blocks some key information but I haven’t found a way to eliminate it. Is that possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can replace or delete the logo at https://retsinabinthegrove.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fretsinabinthegrove.wordpress.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fthemes.php%3Fpage%3Dcustom-header under ‘Theme’.

I can delete the photo but that gains me nothing.
The photo is replaced by the bog title in the same spot, which still obscures the information on the header.
-
“Blog” not bog. Instead of the photo, the blog title is superimposed over the header, blocking out the same amount of the header information.

It should look better with a textless header, then it would look something like http://adventuredemo.wordpress.com/
You can contact the theme developer direct at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/adventure#postform to propose any improvements or other suggestions.

Apparently, this forum doesn’t allow photos so I can’t do a screen shot of my header to post here, so I’ll try with something under 1,000 words to explain a picture.
I created my header using a photo of the flag presented me as oldest son when my father, a WWII veteran, died.
I have printed on the photo information about dad. In the upper left, it says “Born in Clay Center, Kansas” and on the line below, his birth date and year.
But the logo, whether it is a picture or just the title of my blog, obscures part of that so that what appears is “Born in Cla … as”
I realized that I could redo my header and rearranged the text but I like it the way it is. Why shouldn’t I be able to simply eliminate the block of text that obscures what I created?
-
“I realized” should read “I realize”.
Auto spellcheckers, in their ignorance of grammar, often make unwarranted assumptions to the embarrassment of those who get careless in their proofreading.

The previous instructions I gave was to remove the logo/block, not the header:
You can replace or delete the logo at https://retsinabinthegrove.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fretsinabinthegrove.wordpress.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fthemes.php%3Fpage%3Dcustom-header under ‘Theme’.
If you prefer that I remove the block for you then let me know :)

I understand that you gave me instructions to remove the logo/block and not the header.
Maybe I’m not being clear. I don’t want anything to be superimposed on my header, be it a block of print or a logo photo. I have no interest in a “logo”, period, be it my blog title or a superimposed logo photo.
Choosing to remove the logo photo just replaces the photo with a block of font showing the title of my blog, and still obscuring part of the upper portion of my header where, in my header, there exists text that I wish to be visible in the header. I want the header to appear exactly as the collage I created and posted as “Remembering my Dad” on May 24.
I find no instructions under “theme” for removing that so if you can do it, I will be grateful.

If you would contact me at (email visible only to moderators and staff) and provide an e-mail address, I can send screenshots showing exactly what I’m talking about.
-
I assume (and hope) that since you are tech support that even though my e-mail address is redacted publicly, you can still see it?
-
I see. I’ve just removed the block for you with Custom CSS at https://retsinabinthegrove.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fretsinabinthegrove.wordpress.com%2F
