Can I delete WordPress.Com stats from my self-hosted blog?
-
I am not prepared to have unwanted third-party tracking cookies, nor do I like the idea of Jetpack, tying me in unknown ways to WP.COM!
I have deactivated my WordPress.Com stats in my self-hosted blog & I want to know if it is OK to completely delete them?
Note I also have disabled third-party tracking cookies in the plugin AddToAny which also secretly tracks!
Personally I am quite happy with GA, I sometimes wonder if I need analytics at all as my site is non-commercial & very mucj a nich interest.
The only reasons I have a WP.COM account at all are for Akismet & Videopress …
