Can I display just a "preview" of posts on home page?

  Rather than display the full text of a post on home page, can I display just a few sentences of text then have a “read more” link to click?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey Rachel,

  Sounds like the best solution for you is to use the More tag. Then, you can display the text you wish, and your readers can click to be taken to the entire post.

  Thanks! I’ve never used that before so all of my 150+ previous posts don’t have it because the “Summary” feature of first 55 words worked with other themes I had…

  Is there a way to retroactively insert the “More Tag” to older posts?

  Hi Rachel,

  You’ll need to edit each post and insert the More tag where you want it to go — there isn’t a way to automatically add it to multiple posts at a time. Please let us know if you have any other questions about that!
