Can I display my posts in a shortened format on my front page?

I’m concerned that, 9 posts into my blog, the scrolling front page of posts is becoming unreadable due to the number of words on display. My blog is a running commentary on a research project, and I think it would work better if readers could get a quicker ‘surface’ impression of the progress from the start to now.

Can I compress the display of my posts on the front page, so that readers can scroll through my posts (title + first paragraph, ideally) more quickly – and then click through to the full post when they want to?

I am using the ‘Suits’ theme, which I’d prefer not to have to change.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, you can use the More Tag to truncate your blog entries so that only the first part of certain posts is displayed on the home and archive pages.

Thanks! How nice to find such a straightforward solution!
