Can I do a guided transfer to an existing wordpress installation

  I built a new wordpress website for a client who also wants to transfer the current blog they have on wordpress.com. However, without being able to upload plugins, i cannot export the images with the content.

  If a guided transfer, can you import the images and blog posts into an existing wordpress website. I dont need the theme, jsut the posts and the images and the link structure to remain intact.

  Just to clarify, are you trying to move a WordPress.com site to a self-hosted WordPress.org install? I just want to make sure we’re on the same page!

  If so, we do support exports without the use of plugins. You can export the site here:

  Export Your Website’s Content

  Can you give that a try? That should pull all of the posts, pages, comments, images, etc.
