Can I download my premium wordpress.com theme and use it on a wordpress.org site?

  Note: Premium themes are fully refundable for up to 30 days after purchase. You can apply for refund and purchase a version of the theme that is coded to run on wordpress.ORG software from the theme designer ie. Viva Themes.

  WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

  Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

  You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.   Premium themes are not able to be transferred or downloaded from WordPress.com to be used on a WordPress.org site.

  However, you can try asking the theme author if they would be willing to provide a discount coupon or the theme files for you to download and use on your self-hosted WordPress.org site.
