Can I embed a Google Fusion table in a WP page? If not, why not?

When I paste iframe code generated by Google Fusion Tables into a page it converts to an ugly link on save. No pretty map.

I checked the forums/support and have seen a couple of questions asked about this, but the questions were from 2011 and 2012, so I thought maybe there have been changes. More recent questions simply weren’t answered.

If it’s still not possible to embed a map created with Fusion Tables, can you explain why not, please? Or let me know if there are any workarounds.

    Thank you.

    Hi!

I’m afraid you will not be able to embed a map created with Fusion Tables. The code you’re trying to use (an iframe code) is blocked at WordPress.com for security reasons. You can read more about that here:

    Add Code to Your Site

We do allow embeds of docs and spreadsheets from Google though! You can read more about that here:

    Embed From Google Docs

Would you be able to use a regular spreadsheet instead of Google Fusion?
