Can I embed Soundcloud links?

  Can I embed a Soundcloud link on my blog posts or do I need to pay for an upgrade to do that?

  Do you mean the SoundCloud player? Then yes.

  How about embedding the soundcloud badge. I have tried adding the code in the text widget for the soundcloud badge but it won’t show up. In fact when I come back to the widget it has stripped the code blank.

  Here is the soundcloud page with the code they recommend: https://soundcloud.com/pages/embed

  On my page (http://dadpoet.wordpress.com) you can see the YouTube icon/badge on the sidebar on the right, where it says Visit me on. . . but soundcloud code won’t work for a similar icon/badge.

  Never mind I’ve found a way to work around it hosting the image elsewhere, though I assume I could also host the image in my wordpress images

  Glad you were able to find a solution. I am still new to WordPress, so I don’t know if there is a better solution then uploading the image and creating the link.

  I do know the reason why the embed code was not working is because WordPress strips out iframe code.
