Can I embed soundclouds into my wordpress site
-
When I add the wordpress code from soundcloud all that appears is the written code and not the soundcloud?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have to add the code to a post or page editor in text mode, not visual mode. See the Editors support page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/.

Sorry. I should have checked on that. The Soundcloud WP code can be pasted into the visual editor. Not sure why yours failed. Would you mind providing the code you used here? Where to you paste the code?

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/179679890" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]

The shortcode seems correct to me. I copied it as-is into my test blog and can see the song displayed.
Could you link the blog post to which you have added this soundcloud shortcode?

@ scottstacey2014,
Sounds like it could be a browser issue. I’ve frequently had SoundCloud players disappear from time to time in pages and posts on my WP sites. You might try such things as clearing or updating your browser, or trying an alternate browser. What kind of device are you using to view the post, page, or widget containing the SoundCloud player code, and what browsers have you tried?

This is not a WordPress.com site. It is a self-hosted WordPress.org site. So you should first install SoundCloud plugin like this and use the shortcode.
By the way, these forums are only to seek help with WordPress.com blogs. In future please ask questions with your self-hosted WordPress here: https://wordpress.org/support/
In case you are unaware, please check the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
