Can I get a digital copy of my blogs as a back up?
-
I value all the information I have posted and worry about losing it. How can I get digital copies?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Since I have put so much work and valuable information into my blogs, I’d like to have my own digital copies for safekeeping. Is that possible?

Certainly! When you are logged into your Dashboard, click on Tools → Export. You can download a digital copy of your content to your own computer, and keep it as a backup.
Just so you are aware, we also backup our servers frequently, for you protection.
I hope this helps allay your concerns. Best wishes to you.

Sorry to bother you again. I used the export tool and downloaded my blog, as an .xml file that doesn’t resemble my blog context at all. What can I do to get an actual copy, photos included? THANKS.

Hello! The XML file is a backup that can be re-uploaded in case of emergency. If that were to happen, your blog would contain the same content as before. It’s not really for humans to read, only blogging software.
If you want a visual copy of the entire blog, you have to do this manually, page by page.
I see that you use Safari as your browser. I think your best bet would be to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browser to save your pages. In those browsers I mentioned, you can open each page and choose to Save Page As. Then you will be given the option to save as Webpage, Complete.
Keep in mind that these files are not something that could be used as a backup to re-upload to your site.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much and happy blogging!
