Can I get all my settings back after trying a new theme?

  I tried looking at what a new theme would look like on my blog. Afterwards I went back to my original theme and it has cleared all my widget settings. Help!

  Could you tell me if your widgets disappeared altogether, or if their settings changed back to their default?

  It seems they’re gone. All that is in the right sidebar now is my archive list. I made the mistake of activating the new theme released today, there wasn’t a “demo” button. And when I chose my old theme to activate everything was gone.

  Hey Debi!

  Thanks so much for the description of what occurred.

  Here’s the solution: click the link below to go to your widgets:
  https://theromanticvineyard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

  Scroll to the very bottom of the page where you’ll see the widgets that became inactive when you made the switch/switch-back.

  You can drag the widgets back into the sidebars in which you want them to appear.
