    Hello there!

I really want to use a certain domain on wordpress but unfortunately it is already registered and no longer available.

    is no longer available.

My question is: I have any chance to get that domain for me?

    Hi there,

Take a look at this post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

Even if a blog owner has already registered a domain, the name they’ve used cannot be used by anyone else. Just to quote:

We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner.

It’s worth taking time to think of an original blog address, then there’s less chance of it already being taken. Hope that helps.

I was searching for that kind of info about blog names but I didn’t quite find it so that’s why I posted here.

But on that link doesn’t say anything about inactive but not deleted blogs. I guess it’s the same with the deleted ones, right?

No problem. Just have to dig a little, there are usually bits of useful documentation provided by the staff :)

I’m assuming so – inactive still implies that the domain is owned by whoever registered it, and so it’s unable to be used either way.
