can i get my old username back?

Hello.
I just signed up to wordpress with the blog towerofunicorns and everything was well and nice, aside from the fact that the default language was my own language and it woulnd’t fully change in English even if I’d changed the settings. I was so annoyed that it wasn’t in English that I wanted to delete the whole thing and sign up again, and now I lost both the username and the blog name.
Can they be recovered in any way? It seems I’m not allowed to pick those anymore. I really want those back!

Hi,
there were many warnings when your blog was deleted about it being permanent. Unfortunately, once a URL is deleted, it is gone forever.

So from what I get here is that I could have got the blog name if the site existed and that in this situation I can only get it two years from now on. And that I can’t have the username back, even if it is not used by anyone…
I hope I understood that right…I guess I will have to resign and try to find alternative names…
