  I was wondering if I could add my own domain name later for the 18 dollar fee?

  Yes you can buy your own custom domain name and map it to your blog any time – you can wait a while if you want to see if you like blogging or whatever you use your site for.

  If you are using your site for a professional use, then getting a custom domain name sooner is better, build brand ID early
