can i get my worpress address back?

    i registered a domain: elindotcom.wordpress.com

    I also purchased an upgrade to redirect my domain to this address.

    while i was playing around trying to figure things out, i delete:

    elindotcom.wordpress.com

    so if you go to this address is says the owner (me) deleted this site.

    question, since my upgrade was purchased for this domain, can i get this domain back?

    elindotcom.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this site.

    You cannot register any deleted blog URL under any account period. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and it must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once the verification link for deletion is clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.

    Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

    You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

    Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

    thank you for the quick response.

    just to confirm, i have already purchased a domain mapping when i had the previous site that i deleted. so now i created a new one, do i need to purchase a new domain mapping? as the one i have is not working with the new wordpress domain i registered

    Yes, if you deleted the underlying .wordpress.com blog your were domain mapping from, then you need to register another one and domain map from it to the domain URL.

    thanks. i just tried to map it and its telling my domain is already mapped!
    so iam trying to map my domain i purchased with reg 123. and I guess its telling me its already mapped to the old wordpress name i created which is now deleted.

    my new wordpress domain is:

    http://elin4dotcom.wordpress.com/

    i have pointed DNS at 123reg by following the instructions to point to the name servers. The domain in question is elin4d.com.

    however this is still diverting to the old wordpress url that i deleted and informed you about earlier and i cant seem to be able to change that

    Yes and that’s why I tagged this thread for Staff. They will move the domain mapping for you to the new .wordpress.com URL.

    You’re welcome. Please be patient while waiting and know it is in your best interest to stop posting to this thread as doing that moves the timestamp forward and means it will take longer to get Staff help.
