Can I get rid of Infinite Scroll and "Older Posts"
-
Is there a way I can get rid of Infinite Scroll completely, so there’s no “Older Posts” icon at the bottom?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You do not have infinite scroll enabled on your site.
Is there a particular reason you are looking to remove the “older posts” link? It may be possible with some custom CSS, tough I’ve never tested. However, removing it will hinder navigation of your site and reduce traffic to any posts that are not displayed on the front page.

Because I want to make my site look professional journalistic
Making my blog look more professional so people navigate more by archive the menu at the top, and tags
I was thinking of trying it and seeing how it turned out

In my opinion, having either older posts appear via infinite scroll or seeing an “older posts” link is what they expect when viewing blog. Expecting them to know to use the upper menus is probably not the best idea. There are always going to be some percent of people who will be confused. And confusing people about navigation typically causes them to leave the site.

I would suggest making a post on the CSS Customization forum here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
Lots of good advice there and knowledgeable people.
