Can I get rid of unwanted 'WORDPRESS' text ?

  No matter what theme I use I keep getting this text appearing under the title section.

  “September 16, 2007
  Filed under: Uncategorized — curlys @ 8:10 am”

  Sept 16, 2007 was the foundation date of the blog. Can it be deleted ? or even edited down into a smaller font or dropped to the bottom of the page?

  If so to remove that you would have to have some CSS editing experience and then purchase the CSS upgrade.

  You can also get rid of that by using a static front page for your site instead of a post since it is obvious you aren’t going to be doing any “posts” just pages.

  CSS experience and the CSS upgrade, or switch your main page to a static page.

  Thanks for your help.
  I’ll have a look at using a static front page – the CSS stuff looks too scary !!

  You are welcome. The static front page is far less painful, especially if you do not plan on making posts. Pages do not display a date and cannot have tags or categories assigned to them so it will be clean up top.
