Can I get the domain name of a deleted blog?

  I want a blog name that is not available. I went to the domain name, and it says the blog is no longer available because the authors have deleted it. Can I get the domain name then?

  Sorry but you cannot acquire a deleted blog URL.

  You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain vis a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
