Can I go back to a previous domain name I already had if I changed my mind?

  Is it possible to secure a domain name that I already at one point had, but decided to change?

  This is what happened. Totally due to my own back-and-forth nature with regards to this domain name.

  I had theinkribbon.wordpress.com

  I changed it to theinkribbon.com

  realized I might as well change the website name to my name

  refunded first change, and changed it to nickdorazio.com

  realized that nickdorazio.com didn’t exactly fit my wants / needs.

  went ahead and got nickdorazio.com cancelled and refunded.

  Now, want to go back to theinkribbon.com

  Theinkribbon.com is now unavailable. Says I need to purchase domain mapping if I already own it, but I do not.

  So, the question: How can I go back to just “Theinkribbon.com?

  Hi there,

  Domains take a while to update. The domain theinkribbon.com is still in the process of being returned to the domain registry whereupon it will be released to the public and you can purchase it again. This process takes a couple of days, but once it does you can go in and purchase it just like usual!
