Can I have an image instead of a site title?

Is there a way to insert an image in the place where a site title would normally go? I’m happy with my header (which actually has my site title), but would like to put a small icon with my site logo where the site title would normally go. Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Ethan,
With your current theme (Bromley), it isn’t possible to replace your Site Title (“Corporate Reblogability”) with a logo image. If this is something you would like to do, I’m happy to help search for a theme that allows you to upload a logo in the top right-hand corner of the theme instead of displaying the site title. Let me know!

Hey thanks for your help! Yeah I’d be interested in seeing which themes would allow me to put an image in the corner instead of a site title if that’s possible at all! Also, sorry for all of the different threads– I wasn’t aware that I was supposed to keep it all within one conversation.

Not a problem! Here are some themes that I think may fit the bill:
InfoWay – on the demo, the logo would go where it says “InfoWay” in the top-left
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/infoway/Organization – Same thing, the tree logo and “Organization Theme” would be your logo
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/organization/Linen – Same idea
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/linen/Really, most themes within the Business category have this feature:

Wow these all look great! I think I like InfoWay the most though as I’m not really looking to make a business-style webpage at the moment, though these would all be great once my site grows a bit more. If I use the InfoWay theme, how would I get the image to replace the site title?

You should be able to accomplish this following the instructions here for uploading a custom header image:

If you want, you can give this a try by purchasing the InfoWay theme. If you’re happy with it, I can refund your Bromley purchase. If not, I can refund the InfoWay purchase, and you can revert back to Bromley. Let me know how you would like to proceed!

So I tried to use the InfoWay theme but realized that I didn’t particularly like the way it looked with my content. I got refunded for that purchase and decided to go with the Organization theme instead. I’m currently having trouble getting my image in with the title the way that it is in the demo with the tree and the title. As of now, the only option that I see is to put the image in as a header, which would make it entirely too big and not next to the site title as I would like to have it. Could you assist me with this step?

Hey Ethan,
It looks like the InfoWay theme was fully refunded so the funds should appear on your account within a few days. Regarding the Organization theme, the logo at the top of the page is just a custom header. The exact dimensions used in the demo are 420 x 120 px.
Just a note, you may need to recreate your logo with this specific size in mind. I’m not sure what application you’re using, but shrinking and enlarging the current logo may cause pixelation.

So I actually just opted to design my own logo with the sight title in it and then input that image under the customize>theme>logo option. The only issue that I’m having now is that having this new site logo is causing the header image to not show up for whatever reason. I’m going to look into figuring out how to have a sliding gallery in place of that though, so I’ll try to work around that over the next couple of days.

…and it appears I’ve just solved the header issue so no further problems with that, just a matter of figuring out the rest of the new tweaks with this theme. Thanks again! I don’t want to bombard you with questions so I’ll try to play around with the theme a bit more!
