Can i have avatars on posts and comments on DIGG 3 theme?

  Hi all,

  we are using a custom CSS Digg3 theme and i was wondering if you knew how i could get avatars to show up on posts and on comments. We were previously using black letterhead which had the feature.

  I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think editing the CSS is going to do it. If the theme doesn’t have those built-in, you probably won’t be able to add them. It’s not as if they’re there but just invisible.

  On the digg 3 theme the avatars don’t show up on the comments but you
  can add the recent comment widget and the avatars will show up on the widget

  I’m using the same theme you can see the widget i’m referring to on the right
  side of my site Teck~Line

  Ah, good idea! They also show on the Author’s widget.

  There is a hack. It requires the CSS Upgrade (15$), a good knowledge of CSS and a theme that generates per-author-classes (I’m not sure if Digg3 has this, Sandbox does). Then you could add the author image as a background to a proper element in a post or an author archive. You’d have to define the style for each author anew.
