Can I have different Gravatars for different blogs–all with same email address?

  I have 3 different WP blogs–but haven’t published 2 of them because of this problem. Can I have a different gravatar for each blog? I will use my real name–I’m not trying to hide anything–I just want to say different things on the different gravatars. I am using the same email address for all blogs. Will I have to create a new username and new email address for each blog to have them be different–hope not! Thanks–Ann

  Can I do a gravatar widget for each blog and turn off the central, primary, common avatar?

  No

  Also note the Gravatar and WordPress.com are both owned by Automattic. Create an account at either site and it’s the same.

  The email address is your unique identifier.

  You’re welcome. Sorry it wasn’t the answer you wanted to hear. Here’s what I did. I have two gravatars (which are in facet the same image) but I have two username accounts and two different email addresses for them.

  timethief, if you’re still there, can I “transfer” a blog address from one username account to another username account?….or do I just have to start from scratch and make up a new blog address and transfer things over manually?

  …and…Can I abandon/close/cancel a blog address for one username and pick it up later with another, different username?

  Yes, you can do that. The existing user needs to make the new one the Admin of that blog.

  No, you can’t delete a blog address and have another username pick it up later. You can just set it to private until you make the change, though.

  As long as you do not Delete anything, you should be fine.

  I am having trouble changing the admin email….the confirming email sent to my second account is not a “hot” link–but I cut and paste it and put in the browser–and get taken to my first WP account…I’ve logged in and out, refreshed, everything I can think of…..no luck…..? admin email stays the same…..
