Can I have more than 6 featured images on twenty fourteen theme?

Hello, the current template for the twenty fourteen theme has 6 featured images that I can display. However, I am curious if there is a way that I can add 1 more? This is a beautiful theme and works well with my page, but if I could get one more featured image – that would be great. Any help or suggestions would be great!

Hi there. It’s not actually featured images, but featured posts. When editing the post you can upload a featured image, and that’s the image that displays on the home page. The image will only be there if it was added to the post.
According to the theme support doc you can only display up to six featured posts, so you can have fewer, but not more than six. https://wordpress.com/themes/twentyfourteen/
It might be possible to override this with CSS, provided you have the custom design upgrade. You can post directly in the CSS Customization forum to find out whether this is possible: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform
