Can I have my old domain back?

  A couple of years ago, I had a blog, sonjamelina.wordpress.com, which I later deleted.

  Now, I’d like to start writing that same blog, but the site says that “sonjamelina.wordpress.com” isn’t available anymore. How can I have the name back, since no one else is actually using it?

  (I don’t want the old blog back, just the address sonjamelina.wordpress.com). Thank you! :)

  Once you delete a WordPress.com site, the address is no longer available, not even to you. This is permanent. You’ll have to pick another name and start fresh.
