Can i have special characters in my domain?

    Hi,

    So I’ve made a domain with an æ in it, and i doesn’t seem to want to connect to wordpress when i try? Is it because it can’t contain that?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

    I’m afraid that domain registration, transfers-in, and connecting for Internationalized Domain Names (the ones that contain contains language-specific characters such as æ, ä, û, ע, ж, 字, मा, etc…) are not currently supported.

    Let me note that the first year of domain registration comes for free with the purchase of any annual paid plan, so if you were going to purchase a plan to connect your domain, you could register for free a similar domain name using ae instead of æ.
