Can I have viewers send photos to my blog?

I am working on making an interactive blog where viewers could submit photos. That’s the idea anyway. Is this possible to do on WordPress? How?

They could email them to you or provide a link in their comments to the uploaded file, but otherwise no. Cheezburger does this, but they’re a VIP blog and when you pay that much money virtually anything is possible. For a regular WP.com blog, no.

But there are services, like Slide.com. I use them as a photo guestbook on my blog, and WP will allow this service on our site. I just set it up as a page on my blog, titled photos.

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me exactly how WP allows this service? I mean how do you set it up. I’m having trouble figuring out how to add widget codes and the like.

If you go to http://www.slide.com. You can set up a photo guestbook where people can upload photos to your site. After you do that, slide.com give you the code. You enter this code onto your site, usually works best if you set it up on a separate page. Enter the code under the HTML screen. Slide.com gives you several different platforms to select for code (ranging from myspace to facebook). They don’t have one for wordpress, but they have an option for just HTML code. Use that, it works on WordPress. You can also set it up where uploaded photos are moderated, so that you can approve 1st, before accepting. I have this cuz some were uploading naked pictures.
