Can I hide a specific comment thread from view on my “my comments” link?

I joined in a dialouge that continues on and on and continues to appear when I open “My Comments”. I am no longer interested in seeing this thread as I have stepped out of the dialogue. Yet, as someone else adds a comment, it pops up in my ‘my commnents’ list and nudges out less recent threads.
Can I selectively punt this thread? It did not originate from my blog. I merely commented on someone else’s and now I feel married to the thread for as long as it remains active.

I have a really old comment thread that keeps popping up in My Comments. I have absolutely no interest in following this thread. In fact, I don’t even visit the site on which this thread began. I hate, hate, hate it when this thread pops up. Please help me to delete it.

I have the same problem and it is very annoying. Is there a way I can get out of these comment threads?

For the reasons given in the original post above, I never use the “My Comments” feature. When I comment in someone’s blog, I keep it open in a Firefox tab for the day, and refresh it from time to time to see if anything interesting happens. If it doesn’t, then I abandon it.

Sometimes, even when interesting things happen the best solution is to just walk away.
Rather than bump a thread like this to the top of the page, days afterwards, and make one’s self look foolish to a whole new crowd.

Yuppie, I actually have the same problem. I’ve been playing around and can’t find a solution yet to this. Maybe now that we all have said something, they’ll try to add a new feature to the My Comments feature.
