Can I hide my blog ?

  how do I hide my blog from view while I do some major reconstruction? It will be changing focus, and I will be deleting all previous content, and then learning how to create the content in a way I am happy with. I anticipate this taking a little while, and I would rather the the public not be able to view the mess I make in the process of improving. I do not want to delete my blog, but I don’t know how else I can remove it from view for a while. Any suggestions?

  Dashboard >> Settings >> Read >> Set blog to Private so only those you invite in can see it
